Saturday’s evening kick off in the Premier League sees Newcastle United, still looking to secure their top-flight status, host a Liverpool side who look set to finish outside the top six for a second season in succession.

Alan Pardew’s men go in to the game having won just one of their last five games; drawing at West Brom last time out.

Victory would take Newcastle to forty points with just three games remaining, though eighteenth place Wigan Athletic have played a game less.

Check Tiote is available for selection having missed the trip to the Hawthorns with a hamstring injury, but Sylvain Marveaux and Fabrio Coloccini are both out though the latter has returned to training after a seven week absence.

Papiss Cisse is 8.0 (7/1) with Bet Victor to open the scoring, with Hatem Ben Arfa an 11.0 (10/1) shot with the same firm.

Betfred offer 3.0 (2/1) for the home win, with Liverpool the favourites at a best price of 2.5 (6/4). The draw is 3.6 (13/5) with Bet 365.

The visitors go in to the game on the back of Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Anfield, and will begin to suffer the repercussions of the much publicised controversial moment in that game which sees top scorer Luis Suarez begin a ten game suspension.

Daniel Sturridge will lead the line for the Reds, while Fabio Borini could feature having missed the majority of the season with a dislocated shoulder.

Martin Kelly and Joe Allen are out until next season, while Raheem Sterling also remains side-lined.

Sturridge is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 6.5 (11/2), with Steven Gerrard an 11.0 (10/1) chance with Bet Victor.

It was unsurprisingly Luis Suarez who scored the equaliser with one of the goals of the season in the 1-1 draw at Anfield when the sides met in November, after Yohan Cabaye had given Newcastle a first half lead.

However, with the hosts desperate for the points, and Liverpool without their star player, you might be tempted to back the Cisse/Newcastle wincast which is on offer at 6.0 (5/1) with Betfred.
