Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has spiced up things before the derby game with Manchester United by saying that he didn’t see the Red Devils clash as the biggest game of the season.

Liverpool fans are eagerly awaiting the derby clash with fierce rivals Manchester United, hoping the Reds can close the gap behind the Premiership leaders to just three points, but Kenny Dalglish decided to take some pressure off his players.

“People say this is the biggest game of the season but I don’t look at any game as being big or small. It’s another game, another three points for a win,” Dalglish was quoted as saying in The Sun.

“The only difference this time is the fact that, if we win, we will move a bit closer to them.

“It’s an opportunity to help yourself and dent their chances at the same time.”

Everybody at the club are hoping Steven Gerrard will be fit to play, but Dalglish doesn’t want to reveal his selection.

“We will have to see how fit or otherwise everyone is when they come back from international duty before we can properly prepare for the weekend.”

Liverpool are 3.10 (21/10) with Paddy Power to get one over their rivals, whereas Manchester United are 2.40 (7/5) with Sportingbet to claim maximum points at Anfield.
