Aston Villa will be looking to finish the season on a high after beating Arsenal at the Emirates, whereas Liverpool are hoping they can clinch the fifth place with three points from Villa Park.

Following the defeat to West Brom and home draw against Wigan. Aston Villa again slipped into the danger zone, but the Villans ensured survival in style by beating Arsenal at the Emirates.

Winter signing from Sunderland, Darren Bent continued his impressive scoring form by bagging two goals at the Emirates and he is now 2.40 (7/5) with Paddy Power to score against Liverpool as well.

After Ciaran Clark declared himself fit to play, it is now clear that Gary McAlister will have fully fit squad to choose from, and we expect to see some changes to the team that started the Arsenal game.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Friedel- Walker, Dunne, Collins, L. Young – Petrov, Reo-Coker – Albrighton, A. Young, Downing – Bent.

Liverpool have largely impressed under Kenny Dalglish with the Reds climbing to fifth place following the three-match winning run, but last week’s defeat to Tottenham meant they are likely to finish the season in sixth place.

The Reds will, nonetheless, try to beat Villa and hope that Tottenham slip up against Birmingham, but even a sixth-place finish would be a remarkable achievement considering the awful start of the season under Roy Hodgson.

Should Kenny Dalglish continue doing a good job, the Reds could easily enter the title race next season and with club owners promising big transfer kitty, the odds of 13.00 (12/1) offered by William Hill on Liverpool to win next Premiership title could be worth a shot.

King Kenny should be able to count on Raul Meireles for the Aston Villa game, but Steven Gerrard, Daniel Agger, Milan Jovanovic, Fabio Aurelio and Martin Kelly are long-term casualties.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Reina – Flanagan, Skrtel, Carragher, Johnson – Kuyt, Meireles, Lucas, Rodriguez – Carroll, Suarez.
