Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has suggested that he can ‘turn around’ the poor form that he has displayed so far this season.

The Gabonese forward has not quite yet showed his trademark goalscoring instincts in the 2020/21 campaign, having only netted three goals in the Premier League.

This comes after two seasons in which he has netted over 20 goals in the league.

Aubameyang has suggested that his poor form could be down to the Gunners expelling so much energy in lifting the FA Cup last season but has backed himself to return to his lethal self.

He said: “From the beginning of this season I was struggling a lot but I think this is part of football.

“We gave a lot at the end of the season to win the FA Cup and to qualify for the Europa League because it was really important for the club.

“Sometimes you have ups and downs and you have to manage as best you can. I tried my best and until now it was not the best performance from me.

“I’m still positive. I think I can turn this around.”

Aubameyang will be aiming to score his first Premier League goal since mid-December on Thursday as the Gunners take on Crystal Palace at home. He can be backed at odds of 16/5 with Paddy Power.
