Barcelona agree personal terms with Luciano Vietto

Luciano ViettoLa Liga champions Barcelona are closing in on Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Vietto, according to Spanish daily newspaper AS.

The Catalans turned their attention to the Argentine footballer after missing out on several top targets and they believe he would be a good back up for the MSN trio.

The latest reports suggest that Barcelona officials have found an agreement with the player over a long-term contract, but they also need to agree on a transfer fee with their league rivals.

After rejecting their proposal for Angel Correa, los Colchoneros are ready to offload Luciano Vietto, although they will obviously be looking to get the best possible deal.

It is believed that the 22-year-old could also join the Catalans on an initial season-long loan, as Atletico are believed to be holding out for €25 million.

After impressing to score 12 goals in 32 league outings for Villarreal, Vietto largely struggled for form last term, netting just once in 19 La Liga appearances.

His suitors Barcelona have again be made the number one favourites for the league trophy, and they are currently priced at 1.75 (3/4).
