Jurgen KloppFormer Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has been offered a chance to coach Mexico, the national team chiefs have confirmed.

The highly rated tactician is still without a job after leaving the Millionaires at the end of last season, and it has now been revealed that he had a chance to take over from Tuca Ferretti as El Tri coach.

Nevertheless, Mexican Football Federation secretary general, Guillermo Cantu, says that Klopp rejected the offer.

“We spoke to his representative, but he said he is on a sabbatical and it would not be possible now”, Cantu told the Marcaje Personal programme.

While he has also been linked with the Netherlands job, Klopp has been tipped to take over at some of Europe’s top sides, with many believing that English Premier League will be his next destination.

The German coach is now 3.00 (2/1) favourite to be next Liverpool manager, while he is 5.00 (4/1) to succeed Arsene Wenger in the Arsenal dugout.
