QPR midfielder Esteban Granero is negotiating a switch to Swansea, the player’s official representative has revealed.
The Spanish footballer has decided to leave Rangers after they were relegated to the Championship and it now looks as though he will be staying in the Premier League.
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup knows the player well having coached him at Getafe and he is keen to bring him to the Liberty Stadium.
Esteban Granero’s representative has revealed that the two clubs are negotiating a deal that would see his client join the Premier League high-flyers.
“The two clubs are talking about a transfer, it’s true,” agent Carlo Cutropia told Tuttomercatoweb.
“Michael Laudrup knows him very well from their time at Getafe, where together they had a great UEFA Cup campaign.
“Swansea are also looking at many Spanish players and play in Europe next year, (so) the destination would be absolutely acceptable to Esteban.”
Despite the talks reportedly in a final stage, Granero can still be backed to join Swansea at odds of 1.53 (8/15) offered by SkyBet.
