Gladbach vs WolfsburgInstead of fight for top 4 positions, Borussia M’gladbach and Wolfsburg find themselves in the Bundesliga danger zone, and they will be desperate to win the final fixture before the winter break.

Die Fohlen are currently three points clear of their next opponents, but it is the Wolves who are in better form at the moment.

Borussia M’gladbach have found it extremely hard to balance between the domestic and European campaigns, largely struggling in both competitions.

And while they somewhat managed to secure Europa league berth through their Champions League exploits, their performances in Bundesliga have been utterly disappointing.

Die Fohlen picked up mere 16 points from first 15 league fixtures and they now sit just four points above the relegation zone.

And having lost five of last eight matches in all competitions, Borussia clearly have little to hope for ahead of the match with Wolfsburg.

The good news is that star forward Rafael should be available for selection after recovering from a knock, but Patrick Herrmann, Fabian Johnson, Ibrahima Traore and Marvin Schulz are definitely out.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Sommer – Elvedi, Christensen, Vestergaard, Wendt – Strobl, Kramer – Hahn, Dahoud, Hazard – Raffael.

Not so long ago, Wolfsburg were challenging for Champions League positions and now they find themselves involved in the difficult relegation tussle.

In all fairness, the Wolves saw some important players leave last summer, but they in turn signed decent replacements and nobody could predict such a disappointing campaign.

Oddly enough, Wolfsburg have just left the bottom three as the narrow triumph over Eintracht Frankfurt saw them leapfrog sorry Hamburg in the league standings.

The Wolves will now be looking to make it two victories on the bounce and they are available at 4.50 (7/2) to succeed in their quest.

The visitors will have to make do without the suspended Philipp Wollscheid, while Daniel Didavi, Marcel Schafer and Ismali Azzaoui are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Benaglio – Knoche, Bruma, Rodriguez – Blaszczykowski, Caligiuri, Guilavogui, Arnold, Gerhardt – Gomez, Draxler.
