Sunday’s game at the Etihad Stadium sees Premier League leaders host West Ham United, looking for the point that will almost certainly see them reclaim the title from rivals Manchester United.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men moved back into first place after thumping Aston Villa 4-0 on Wednesday evening – their sixteenth home win in the league so far this season.

Another three points here will guarantee the championship for them, while draw will be enough unless Liverpool put fourteen goals past Newcastle United.

Top scorer Sergio Aguero, whose stoppage time winner against Queens Park Rangers on the final day of the season famously clinched the title two years ago, is fit after missing the victory in midweek with a groin problem, while Fernadinho could also feature despite struggling with a leg injury.

Aguero is favourite to open the scoring at 3.85 (37/13) with 888 Sport, with Edin Dzeko a 4.5 (7/2) shot with Paddy Power after netting five goals in his last three games.

The home win is widely available at 1.17 (1/6), with West Ham as highly priced as the 18.0 (17/1) on offer from Bet Victor, who price the draw at 9.0 (8/1).

The visitors 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend moved them on to forty points and up to twelfth place, which is the highest they can finish though defeat here could see them slip to as low as fifteenth.

Manager Sam Allardyce has no fresh injury worries ahead of the game, with Marco Boriello their only absentee.

Former Liverpool man Andy Carroll is priced at 17.0 (16/1) to get the first goal of the game, ahead of Kevin Nolan, who is a 21.0 (20/1) chance with a variety of bookmakers.

City have won the past four meetings between the sides, including all three this season by an aggregate score of 12-1.

The champions elect can be backed at a price of 2.5 (6/4) with Coral to score at least four times, while hopeful Liverpool fans may be tempted to take advantage of the 81.0 (80/1) on offer for the 1-0 away win.
