Friday evening’s Premier League action comes from Stamford Bridge where Chelsea face Liverpool.

The Blues will be looking for the three points that would see them, if only temporarily rise to the top of the division with current leaders Manchester City playing Bournemouth on Saturday.

They go in to the game on the back of last week’s 2-2 draw with Swansea City, a match in which Diego Costa scored his third and fourth goal of the season and the Spain international is once again set to lead the line.

Captain John Terry misses out after damaging his ankle ligaments at the Liberty Stadium so David Luiz is ready to make his second debut for the Blues after re-signing from Paris Saint Germain last month.

Costa is favourite to open the scoring at 6.0 (5/1) to get the first goal of the game with Paddy Power, with Eden Hazard an 8.0 (7/1) shot with the same firm.

The home win is widely available at 2.63 (13/8) with the visitors as highly priced as the 3.3 (23/10) on offer from Ladbrokes. The draw can be backed at a price of 3.55 (28/11) with 888 Sport.

Liverpool returned to winning ways last weekend, thumping champions Leicester City by four goals to one at Anfield in last Saturday’s late kick-off.

Victory here would see them move level on points with Antonio Conte’s men, while a win of three clear goals or more would lift them into second place.

Dejan Lovren could return for Jurgen Klopp’s side after he missed the win over Leicester with a bruised eye while Philippe Coutinho could also be recalled.

Daniel Sturridge is 7.5 (13/2) to get the first goal of the game while Roberto Firmino, who bagged a brace last time out is an 8.0 (7/1) chance with a number of firms.

Six of the last eight meetings between these two sides have produced under 2.5 goals, and you van back that outcome this time around at a price of 2.15 (23/20) with several bookmakers.
