Saturday’s Premier League action concludes at Villa Park, where Aston Villa host champions Manchester City.

Paul Lambert’s side were flying high in second place just three weeks ago, but back to back 3-0 defeats have seen them slip to sixth place.

Last weekend’s loss to Chelsea was the clubs thirteenth in the league in 2014, though they will take comfort in knowing that it was they who emerged triumphant when they hosted City in last season’s corresponding fixture.

Christian Benteke is available for the first time in six months after recovering from a ruptured Achillles, though fellow striker Lubor Kozak remains out, along with captain Ron Vlaar who has a calf injury.

Benteke is 10.5 (19/2) to open the scoring with Bet Victor while Andreas Weimann, who hit the winner in that win over Manuel Pellegrini’s men a year ago, is a 13.0 (12/1) chance with Bet 365.

The home win is generously offered at 7.65 (113/17) with 888 Sport, with City odds on at the widely available price of 1.53 (8/15). The draw is 4.5 (7/2) with a variety of firms.

The visitors halted a run of three games without victory by beating Hull City at the KC Stadium last weekend – a result they followed up with a 1-1 draw at home to Roma in the Champions League.

They currently sit in third place in the division, five points behind leaders and title favourites Chelsea and just one above their opponents for this weekend.

Midfielder Fernando could return to the starting line-up after missing the last six games with a groin problem, while Joe Hart is in line to make the three hundredth league appearance of his career, should he retain his place in goal.

Sergio Aguero is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 4.6 (18/5) with Bet Victor, with Edin Dzeko a 5.5 (9/2) shot with the same firm.

With the champions having not kept a clean sheet in the league since the opening day victory against Newcastle United, you may be tempted to back an away win with both teams to score at 3.3 (23/10) with Coral.

Alternatively a City win to nil, which has been the outcome in three of the last four clashes between the sides, can be backed at 2.55 (23/20) with Coral.
