South Korea vs GhanaGhana will be looking to end a two-match losing run when they face Korea Republic at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida in their final warm-up game.

Having suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tunisia last time out, the Taeguk Warriors hope to enjoy a successful sending off to the tournament finals.

Ghana national team have been making giant strides since their maiden appearance at the World Cup back in 2006, with the team impressing to reach the quarter-finals at the 2010 tournament.

The Black Stars could, however, have problems repeating the result in Brazil, having been placed in a very strong group alongside Germany, Portugal and USA.

Kwesi Appiah’s charges have been far from impressive of late, losing their last two friendlies to Montenegro and Netherlands, so they will certainly want to end the poor run ahead of the tournament finals.

As Jerry Akaminko has been ruled out through an ankle injury, Kwesi Appiah is reportedly pondering using Michael Essien in the heart of defence.

And with the boss expected to field his strongest line-up against Korea, Ghana have been made 2.62 (13/8) favourites to emerge victorious.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Kwarasey – Opare, Boye, Essien, Asamoah – Muntari, Acquah, Badu – A. Ayew, Gyan, Boateng.

Just like their next opponents, Korea Republic have been on a constant uptrend during the last decade and they have now qualified for their eighth successive World Cup finals.

The fourth-place finish at the 2002 tournament they co-hosted with Japan is unlikely to be bettered any time soon, but the Taeguk Warriors did well to reach the Last 16 stage four years ago in South Africa.

Repeating that result can be considered a success in Brazil considering Korea Republic will be vying Belgium, Russia and Algeria for a place in the next round.

Hong Myung-Bo’s side were far from impressive in their opening warm-up fixture against Tunisia, suffering a 1-0 defeat in Seoul, and they are 3.20 (11/5) to defeat Ghana this time out.

Hong Jeong-Ho has shaken off a minor knock, meaning the boss will have fully fit squad to choose from for the clash against the Black Stars.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Jung Sung-Ryong – Lee Yong, Hong Jeong-Ho, Kim Young-Kwon, Yun Suk-Young – Han Kook-Young, Ki Sung-Yeung – Lee Chung-Yong, Ko Ja-Cheol – Son Heung-Min – Park Chu-Young.
