Cameroon vs ParaguayFollowing the 2-0 triumph over FYR Macedonia, Cameroon aim to continue the good run of results against youthful Paraguay side.

La Albirroja start their preparations for the 2015 Copa America with boss Victor Genes set to test a number of unproven players in high-profile friendlies against Cameroon and France.

The Indomitable Lions are bracing themselves for their seventh appearance at the World Cup finals, with 4-1 triumph over Tunisia in the play-offs securing their place in Brazil.

Cameroon were since hammered 5-1 by Portugal back in March, but their first warm-up game for the tournament finals went well, with Volker Finke’s charges running out 2-0 winners against FYR Macedonia.

The German coach suffered a real scare as striker Pierre Webo picked up a shoulder injury while scoring the opener, but the player has since revealed the problem is not serious.

And even with some star players still unavailable for selection, Cameroon look a good bet at 2.55 (14/9) to extend their winning run.

The likes of Aurelien Chedjou, Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, Charles Itandje, Samuel Eto’o, Jean II Makoun, Vincent Aboubakar and Stephane M’Bia remain injury doubts.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Ndy Assembe – Nyom, N’Koulou, Nounkeu, Assou-Ekotto – Enoh, Song, N’Guemo – Choupo-Moting, Webo, Olinga.

Paraguay enjoyed an excellent 2010 World Cup, winning their group before eliminating Japan and narrowly going down to Spain in the quarter-finals.

However, the team have since been on a major downtrend, with their key players no longer playing important roles on world’s strongest sides.

La Albirroja finished the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign at rock bottom, taking just 12 points from 16 games, with Victor Genes taking over the reigns in July 2013.

Paraguay managed to show some promise under the new boss, sharing spoils with Germany and defeating Bolivia in one of the final few qualifiers, but they were defeated by Costa Rica in a March friendly.

And with Victor Genes calling no less than 16 players with five caps or less for the friendlies against Cameroon and France, La Albirroja clearly face an uphill task.

Given that left-back Miguel Samudio has recovered from a hamstring problems, the boss should have a fully fit squad to choose from.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): V. Centurion – Coronel, Gomez, Ortiz, Alonso – J. Rojas, V. Caceres, Oviedo, E. Benitez – Santa Cruz, D. Gonzalez.
