Schweinsteiger Lahm GermanyGermany boss Joachim Low has received some good news this week as it has been revealed the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm and Manuel Neuer will be fit to join the national team squad.

Die Mannschaft heads of to a training camp in South Tyrol on Wednesday, but there were some concerns that the Bayern trio may not be fit to feature.

However, while Bastian Schweinsteiger has recovered from a knee injury that saw him miss the DFB Pokal final, Manuel Neuer and Philipp Lahm have only suffered minor knocks at the weekend.

“I’m already feeling much better,” Schweinsteiger told Sky. “I should be able to train with the team at least towards the end of the week, if not before.”

With most key players unavailable, Joachim Low was able to test some of his fringe players in the goalless draw against Poland, whereas he should have all his footballers available for warm-up games against Cameroon and Armenia.

Having finished in top 3 at the last four major tournaments, Germany are hoping to go all the way this time out and they are 7.00 (6/1) to lift the trophy.

Die Mannschaft have been placed in Group G, alongside Portugal, United States and Ghana, meaning they will have to start the campaign with a bang if they want to live up to the billing.
