Even though this season’s Champions League campaign has had its share of surprises, the two best teams have ultimately reached the final and it is only fair that Barcelona and Manchester United battle for the coveted title.

Barca remain the team to beat after overcoming Real Madrid to earn the chance to play at Wembley, but with the game played in England United are likely to have a bigger support in the stands.

The Catalans are clearly favourites to win this match even though the team have suffered a small dip in form lately and with William Hill paying 2.05 (21/20) on home win, a bet on Barca definitely look tempting.

The amazing Lionel Messi will again lead the attack and with the Argentine likely to cause Vidic and Ferdinand all sorts of problems, you should know that Betfair pays 2.55 (31/20) on Messi to score.

Pep Guardiola only has one selection dilemma at the moment, with Eric Abidal and Javier Mascherano vying for one place in defence, but it looks as though the Frenchman will get the nod.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Valdes – Dani Alves, Puyol, Pique, Abidal – Iniesta, Busquets, Xavi – Pedro, Messi, Villa.

Manchester United might have had a slow start to the season, but the Red Devils have won the Premiership title and reached the Champions League final, and all credit to them for doing that.

Many believe that Manchester United are the only team that can beat Barca at this moment in time, and Red Devils are 2.75 (7/4) with 888Sport to lift the coveted trophy.

Having secured the Premier League title two weeks ago, United had a lot of time to prepare for this clash and it is reported that Sir Alex Ferguson has even had his fringe players line up as Barcelona so that his side can find ways to stop the Catalans.

The experienced manager is widely expected to field the same side that beat Schalke in Germany in the Champions League semi-finals, meaning that Nani, Scholes and Berbatov will have to settle for a place on the bench.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-1-1): Van der Sar – Fabio, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra – Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Park – Rooney – Hernandez.
