All eyes will be on Camp Nou on Tuesday, where Champions League winners Barcelona play host to Serie A champions Milan.

The Catalans are hoping to become the first team in history to defend the Champions League title and they are 2.88 (17/9) with Sportingbet to succeed in their quest.

Pep Guardiola’s side definitely have something to prove here after squandering two-goal lead to earn 2:2 draw against Real Sociedad at the weekend.

Guardiola rested Messi, Villa, Iniesta, Abidal and Puyol against Sociedad, meaning that they should all return to the starting line-up, but Alexis Sanchez is set to miss two months of action with a torn muscle.

Gerard Pique is another player who is out through injury, with Puyol and Mascherano expected to form centre-back pairing in his absence.

Victor Chandler sees Barcelona as hot favourites in this clash, offering 1.30 (3/10) on home win, but the odds are clearly do not represent a real value for money.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Valdes – Dani Alves, Puyol, Mascherano, Abidal – Iniesta, Xavi, Fabregas – Pedro, Messi, Villa.

Milan couldn’t have imagined more difficult way to start their Champions League campaign than the trip to Camp Nou, but the Rossoneri are hoping to produce an upset and get at least one point from this match.

Maxi Allegri’s side haven’t had the perfect start to their Serie A campaign, having only mustered 2:2 draw against Lazio, although the team showed a lot of character by coming from two goals behind.

The Rossoneri are desperate to improve on last year’s result in Europe’s top competition, after being eliminated from Tottenham in the last 16 stage and Milan are 5.00 (4/1) with Unibet to reach Champions League semi-finals this term.

Allegri is still without Robinho and Clarence Seedorf, while Gennaro Gattuso starts his four-match ban. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been ruled out with a muscle injury, while Pippo Inzaghi is ineligible.

Philippe Mexes is both suspended and injured, but Mark van Bommel will be given the opportunity to face his former club after proving his fitness in Lazio clash.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Abbiati – Abate, Thiago Silva, Nesta, Antonini – Ambrosini, Van Bommel, Aquilani – Boateng – Pato, Cassano.
