Atletico vs RealReal Madrid have a mountain to climb after the 2-0 loss in the first leg, but if there is a side that can neutralize a two-goal deficit, it is definitely los Blancos.

The impressive result from the first match will allow Atletico to deploy their counter-attacking tactics at the Bernabeu, but it won’t be easy for los Colchoneros to stop one of world’s best attacks.

While Real Madrid enjoyed a number of big wins over their bitter rivals over the years, they are no longer the dominant force in the capital and haven’t had too much success in these matches of late.

Los Blancos not only lost the Spanish Super Cup to Atletico, but were also defeated by los Colchoneros in the league at the Bernabeu, before the poor run continued with the 2-0 loss in Copa del Rey.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men have since hammered Espanyol to remain at the top of La Liga standings, and they are now 3.75 (11/4) to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Buoyed by the Ballon d’Or triumph, Cristiano Ronaldo will be looking to prove he is worthy of the award and he can be backed at 1.87 (20/23) to score anytime.

Key midfielder Luka Modric is closing in on his return from injury, although the game against Atletico comes too soon for the Croatian.

Fabio Coentrao is available despite seeing red in the league clash against Espanyol, whilst Marcelo has recovered from injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Navas – Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo – Isco, Kroos, Rodriguez – Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo.

Atletico Madrid have made a habit of defeating arguably the world’s strongest side over the last two years, with the unfortunate Champions League final loss quickly forgotten by Diego Simeone’s side.

Los Colchoneros have been unable to keep up with their arch rivals in the league despite winning at Santiago Bernabeu, but they have a great chance to eliminate them from Copa del Rey.

Even if they had a small help from the referees and the fact that Cristano Ronaldo did not start the game, Atletico are in excellent position after the 2-0 win at Vicente Calderon.

Los Colchoneros suffered a blow to their title ambitions by losing to Barcelona at Camp Nou, but they remain 1.30 (3/10) to qualify for the Copa del Rey Last 8.

Diego Simeone is unlikely to make major changes to his starting line-up, meaning that Koke, Arda Turan and Mario Mandzukic will start after they were left on the bench in the first leg.

Cristian Ansaldi misses out through injury, while Guilherme Siqueira is doubtful, meaning Jesus Gamez could again deputize at left-back.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Oblak – Juanfran, Godin, Miranda, Gamez – Turan, Mario, Tiago, Turan – Mandzukic, Griezmann.
