Final two Champions League berths are still up for grabs and while Valencia and Malaga currently hold the two places, they cannot afford to relax just yet as several very good sides are breathing down their necks.

The hosts can make a giant step towards Champions League qualification with a win over tired los Che, a team that can virtually secure third place in the standings with a good result at La Rosaleda.

Even after the club heavily reinforced the squad over the summer, numerous pundits in Spain expressed their doubts about Malaga’s top 4 bid.

While struggling to hit the ground running early on, los Boquerones showed a massive improvement in the second part of the league campaign and managed to climb to fourth place in the standings.

Nonetheless, the team have suffered a small dip in form of late and after taking just two points from last three games, Malaga have got to beat Valencia in order to remain in the driving seat.

Los Boquerones are 2.25 (5/4) with 888sport to claim maximum points against los Che, whereas they are set to play Barcelona and Atletico Madrid away before hosting Sporting Gijon in their final game of the campaign.

Manuel Pellegrini has no fresh injury worries, but Joris Mathijsen, Julio Baptista, Willy Caballero and Jeremy Toulalan remain long-term casualties.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Kameni – Sergio Sanchez, Demichelis, Weligton, Monreal – Maresca, Eliseu – Joaquin, Isco, Cazorla – Rondon.

Valencia can finally fully focus on their La Liga campaign, having been eliminated from Europa League by Atletico Madrid.

Los Che were outplayed and beaten in both semi-final clashes against los Colchoneros and now have three defeats in last four competitive games.

The poor run of results cannot give them much reason for optimism before the clash with Malaga, but Unai Emery’s side should have no problems ensuring Champions League qualification regardless of the outcome of this match.

Valencia are not only six points clear of fifth-placed Levante, but are set to face Osasuna and Villarreal at home before traveling to Sociedad on the final day of the season.

Even so, los Che will be looking to get something from La Rosaleda and thus make amends for the disappointing exit from Europe, and they are 3.40 (12/5) with Victor Chandler to win this game.

Sergio Canales has suffered a recurrence of his knee injury and is set for another six-month spell on the sidelines, while Angel Dealbert and Ever Banega are also out. David Albelda is suspended.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Guaita – Barragan, Rami, Ruiz, Alba – A. Costa, Topal – Feghouli, Jonas, Mathieu – Aduriz.
