Third-placed Napoli will be aiming to continue the good run of results when they take on Milan, a team that desperately need a morale-boosting win to turn their season around.

Before the season started many believed the Azzurri would be the only serious title rivals to mighty Juventus and the predictions seemed to have been spot on.

Walter Mazzarri’s side got off to a great start of the league campaign and they were tied on points with the Bianconeri before the two sides met in Turin.

However, two late goals helped Juventus record a valuable victory and the Azzurri have been struggling to close the gap ever since.

Napoli recovered well from back to back setbacks against Atalanta and Napoli as they first recorded a 4-2 win over Dnipro in Europa League, before beating Genoa away by the same result.

Having scored eight goals in last two games, the Azzurri look a good bet to beat out-of-sorts Milan, with BetVictor paying 1.87 (20/23) on home win.

After netting no less than eight times in last five games, Edinson Cavani is 1.80 (4/5) with BetFred to score in his sixth successive game.

Valon Behrami is out through suspension, while Goran Pandev and Camilo Zuniga are both injury doubts.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-2-1): De Sanctis – Campagnaro, Cannavaro, Gamberini – Maggio, Dzemaili, Inler, Zuniga – Hamsik, Insigne – Cavani.

Milan are still trying to recover from the dismal start to the season, but nothing seems to be going according to plan for Max Allegri’s side.

The Rossoneri did show some improvement at the turn of the month, going on a four-match unbeaten run, but they could do little to prevent high-flying Fiorentina from winning at San Siro.

They thus slipped to 13th in the overall standings and being eight points adrift of European places, Milan have no choice but to try and win this game.

That may be easier said than done, but bear in mind away win pays no less than 4.50 (7/2) at Sportingbet.

Massimo Ambrosini is suspended, while Daniele Bonera, Rodney Strasser, Didac Vila, Djamel Mesbah, Luca Antonini, Sulley Muntari and Ignazio Abate are all out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Abbiati – De Sciglio, Mexes, Acerbi, Constant – De Jong, Montolivo – El Shaarawy, Boateng, Bojan – Pato.
