Napoli vs Lazio 3-0The final match of the Coppa Italia quarter-finals sees Italian giants Napoli and Lazio battle at Stadio San Paolo for a chance to face Roma in the semi-finals.

Despite citing title ambitions before the season started, the Azzurri already seem to be out of the title chase in Italian Serie A, with leaders Juventus already 12 points in front.

On the other hand, Rafael Benitez’s side face a tough task of holding off a challenge from Fiorentina in an attempt to at least secure Champions League qualification.

And the Azzurri were quite fortunate that Viola did not take the best advantage of their recent slip-ups against Bologna and Chievo, as they remained three points clear of their rivals.

The time is now to turn to Coppa Italia, which is clearly Napoli’s best chance of lifting a trophy, and that is why Rafael Benitez is expected to field a strong line-up for the Lazio clash.

With the Azzurri already beating the Biancocelesti 4-2 earlier in the season, they are rightly considered 1.57 (4/7) favourites to win in regulation time.

Benitez could decide to rest Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Callejon, but Valon Behrami, Giandomenico Mesto and Juan Zuniga are definitely out.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Reina – Maggio, Albiol, Fernandez, Reveillere – Inler, Jorginho – Mertens, Hamsik, Insigne- Pandev.

Lazio were on a major downtrend when Edoardo Reja took over the reigns from Vladimir Petkovic, but the experienced coach has impressed on his return to Stadio Olimpico.

The Biancocelesti are unbeaten in five matches since the managerial change, having picked up ten points from four very difficult league fixtures, while defeating in-form Parma in Coppa Italia.

Lazio were pretty unfortunate not to beat leaders Juventus at the weekend, but the good performance against Italy’s best side will, nonetheless, keep them in good stead for the Napoli clash.

And even though Edy Reja looks set to make a couple of changes to his starting line-up, his side look a good bet to score at Stadio San Paolo, at odds of 1.62 (5/8).

Stefan Radu is back in contention, but he is unlikely to start, whereas the likes of Andre Dias, Miroslav Klose and Lucas Biglia will be rested.

Ederson and Emiliano Alfaro remain on the sidelines, whereas Stefano Mauri is suspended and Federico Marchetti is doubtful.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-2-1): Marchetti – Cana, Novaretti, Ciani – Cavanda, Ledesma, Onazi, Lulic – Candreva, Hernanes – Perea.
