Inter vs Sampdoria preview

If current form is observed then this match can have only one outcome, but football is rarely that predictable, so there is every chance Inter will have to work hard for a win against Sampdoria.

Inter started the season early due to their Europa League commitments and while the team experienced some problems in the early exchanges, they seem to be on top of their game at the moment.

While winning their away games with ease, the Neroazzurri needed six matches to finally record a win at Giuseppe Meazza, but they have been thoroughly impressive ever since.

The 3-1 triumph over Bologna at the weekend extended the winning run to seven games, with Inter looking a good bet at 1.57 (4/7) offered by Stan James to make it eight in a row.

Andrea Stramaccioni is expected to make some changes to the starting line-up, with Antonio Cassano, Alvaro Pereira and Fredy Guarin all expected to start.

Juan Jesus misses out through suspension, while Dejan Stankovic, McDonald Mariga, Wesley Sneijder, Philippe Coutinho, Joel Obi and Cristian Chivu are all out injured.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Handanovic – Ranocchia, Cambiasso, Samuel – Pereira, Mudingayi, Gargano, Guarin, Nagatomo – Milito, Cassano.

Newly promoted Sampdoria enjoyed a bright start to the league campaign, taking 11 points from first 5 games, but they have since suffered a major dip in form.

Following back to back draws against Torino and Roma, the Stadio Luigi Ferraris outfit embarked on a four-match losing run, so there are no doubts the match against Inter comes at a bad time.

Ciro Ferrara’s side could slip into the danger zone if they fail to arrest the barren run at Meazza, with Doria now 4.80 (19/5) with Betfair to get relegated.

The boss faces a real selection headache, with Gianni Munari suspended and Nenad Krsticic and Nicola Pozzi sidelined through injury.

On the other hand, Maxi Lopez, Enzo Maresca and Pedro Obiang all face fitness tests ahead of the Inter clash.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Romero – Berardi, Rossini, Gastaldello, Costa – Poli, Tissone, Soriano – Estigarribia, Maxi Lopez, Eder.
