Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni has named his squad for pre-season training, leaving out star players Diego Forlan, Julio Cesar and Dejan Stankovic.

The Neroazzurri are determined to rebuild the squad this summer and they have already canceled the contract of Brazilian defender Lucio, who subsequently joined Juventus on a free transfer.

The Italian giants want to do the same with Diego Forlan, one of the highest earners at Giuseppe Meazza, whereas Julio Cesar and Dejan Stankovic are set to be sold in the summer transfer window.

The Neroazzurri have confirmed captures of Matias Silvestre and Samir Handanovic earlier today, and they are expected to make few more high-profile signings before the transfer window closes.

Inter squad for pre-season training:

Goalkeepers: Francesco Bardi, Vid Belec, Luca Castellazzi.

Defenders: Matteo Bianchetti, Cristian Chivu, Jonathan, Ibrahima Mbaye, Andrea Ranocchia, Walter Samuel, Matias Silvestre, Javier Zanetti.

Midfielders: Ricardo Alvarez, Marco Benassi, Esteban Cambiasso, Alfred Duncan, Fredy Guarin, Joel Obi, Andrea Romanò.

Forwards: Luc Castaignos, Philippe Coutinho, Luca Garritano, Marko Livaja, Samuele Longo, Diego Milito, Rodrigo Palacio, Giampaolo Pazzini.

Samir Handanovic, Douglas Maicon, Yuto Nagatomo and Wesley Sneijder will join their teammates few days later.

As far as their Serie A title chances are concerned, the Neroazzurri are rated as third favourites, with Betfair paying 6.30 (53/10).
