Claudio Ranieri believes Roma are genuine title contenders after his side continued the great run of results by beating Cagliari 3:0.
“We are competing for the scudetto,” he told SkySport.
“The boys played a great game, especially in midfield this evening.
“I am fortunate to have a number of choices at my disposal. I opted to start with Totti and Borriello but both Vucinic and Menez also had an impact on the game.
“The balance in the locker room is always very important. We must try and focus on doing our job on the pitch and ignore everything else going on around us.
“If we can continue to grow as we did last season, there is no reason why we can’t sell out the Olimpico once again and give the fans something to shout about.”
