Title contenders Napoli will be looking to close the gap behind the leading Serie A sides when they play host to joint leaders Lazio.

The Partenopei have been pretty inconsistent at the start to the season and they are already well behind Serie A leaders Udinese.

The demanding Champions League campaign also had a pretty negative effect on team’s performances on domestic stage, with Napoli recording quite a few slip ups of late.

While seven points from five away games may be considered a good return, the Azzurri have won just two of four games at their San Paolo, which is simply not good enough.

Walter Mazzarri’s side will be looking to improve on that record when they play host to Lazio, with Ladbrokes paying 2.10 (11/10) on home win.

The hosts enter this match with a virtually fully fit squad, meaning that the gaffer will be able to field his strongest line-up.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-2-1): De Sanctis – Campagnaro, Cannavaro, Aronica – Maggio, Gargano, Inler, Dossena – Hamsik, Lavezzi – Cavani.

Having spent plenty of cash on new signings in the summer, Lazio were always expected to play a major role in Serie A this season.

The Biancocelesti failed to hit the ground running early on and experienced big problems in both Serie A and Europa League, but, to the delight of every Lazio fan, things are slowly falling into place.

The impressive run of six wins and two draws in eight Serie A games saw Lazio climb to the top of the standings, making everyone believe they can mount a serious title challenge this term.

Coach Edy Reja has moved to play down title talk, but, considering the form they are in, nobody would be surprised if Lazio win at San Paolo, so all of you who believe this is possible should take odds of 4.00 (3/1) offered by Victor Chandler.

The gaffer faces a major selection headache before the game at San Paolo as Miroslav Klose is likely to miss out, whereas Andre Dias, Libor Kozak, Simone Del Nero, Stephen Makinwa and Stefano Mauri are definitely out.

Tommaso Rocchi, Giuseppe Biava, Javier Garrido and Albano Bizzarri are all doubtful, although only Biava would make the starting line-up if he recovers in time.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Marchetti – Konko, Diakite, Biava, Radu – Brocchi, Ledesma – Sculli, Hernanes, Lulic – Cisse.
