Manchester City vs Dynamo Kiev preview

Dynamo Kyiv recorded an excellent result in the first leg, leaving Manchester City with a mountain to climb in the return leg.

The Citizens looked completely lost in Kyiv and deservedly lost the game, and they now need a genuine miracle to make it to the Europa League quarter-finals.

City continued their poor run of form with an unconvincing victory over Reading in the FA Cup, so Roberto Mancini definitely faces a tough task of getting his players in the right mood for this game.

With City set for a very important league clash with Chelsea on Sunday, the Italian boss could decide to rest some of the starters against Dynamo.

Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli could start, but Kolo Toure, James Milner and Adam Johnson are still unavailable.

The first leg in Kiev showed that Dynamo are becoming a real force to be reckoned with in European football and they taught City a real lesson in football last Thursday.

The Ukrainians extended their winning run to five games by beating Vorskla at the weekend and they are 8.00 (7/1) to make it six in a row at William Hill.

Striker Artem Milevskiy is set to miss out after breaking his hand against Vorskla, while Taras Mikhalik and Oleksandr Aliyev remain unavailable.

Considering the two sides’ latest performances it is little wonder Dynamo are 1.36 (4/11) to make it through at Paddy Power, while City are 3.45 (49/20) at Betfair.
