FA-cup

Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round action concludes at the home of seven-time winners Liverpool, where Brendan Rodgers men host Championship side Bolton Wanderers, who themselves have lifted the trophy on four occasions.

The Merseyside club are unbeaten in their last nine games in all competitions, a run which includes their third round victory against AFC Wimbledon.

Unlike last season, they can be forgiven for not considering themselves part of the Premier League title race, but this is one of three competitions that Rodgers and his players will believe they have a strong chance of glory.

The game comes too soon for Daniel Sturridge, who has been out of action since early September though Mario Balotelli should recover from illness in time to feature while Joe Allen and Glen Johnson could also be in contention.

Rickie Lambert is 5.5 (9/2) with Bet 365 to get the first goal of the game, with Steven Gerrard a 7.5 (13/2) chance with the same firm.

The home win is priced at 1.33 (1/3) with Bet 365, who have the draw at 5.75 (19/4) while the visitors can be backed at an 11.5 (21/2) with Bet Victor.

Having lost two of Neil Lennon’s first four games in charge of the club, the Trotters have been defeated just once in their last twelve in all completions, edging past Wigan Athletic in their third round tie earlier this month.

Lennon is likely to name the same side that won at Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, with ex-Liverpool man Emile Heskey set to lead the line alongside Craig Davies.

Heskey, who won five trophies in a four-and-a-half year spell at Anfield at the beginning of the century is 15.0 (14/1) to open the scoring with Bet 365, with fellow former Red Jay Spearing a 41.0 (40/1) shot with a variety of firms.

The last time these two sides were in the same division was the 2011/12 campaign, when both meetings ended in 3-1 victories to the hosts.

With that in mind, you may be tempted to back there being four or more goals this time around at a price of 2.55 (17/11) with 888 Sport.
