Having enjoyed another strong start to the new league campaign, Hoffenheim will attempt to put a dent into Bayern Munich’s title hopes.

The Bavarians allowed no surprises in the first two rounds, but they will be their first serious test against last year’s top 4 club.

Hoffenheim did really well to achieve a top 4 finish last term, although they missed a chance to secure automatic qualifying berth.

That eventually came back to haunt them as TSG were beaten by Liverpool in the play-offs, but at least they will be playing in Europa League group stages.

Even with said play-off matches having the priority, Hoffenheim impressed in the first two league fixtures, defeating Werder Bremen at home before securing a 2-2 draw at Bay Arena.

The fact that Julian Nagelsmann’s men twice came from a goal down against Bayer Leverkusen clearly suggests their confidence was not seriously damaged by the CL elimination.

The hosts have some selection problems as Serge Gnabry, Adam Szalai, Alexnader Stolz, Kevin Akpoguma, Meris Skenderovic and Robin Hack are all unavailable.

Probable starting line-up (5-3-2): Baumann – Kaderabek, Nordtveit, Vogt, Hubner, Zuber – Amiri, Demirbay, Rupp – Uth, Wagner.

Bayern Munich entered the new season determined to finally mount a serious title challenge, with the squad further reinforced over the summer.

In came James Rodriguez and Corentin Tolisso as high-profile recruits, but it is former Hoffenheim stars Sebastian Rudy and Niklas Sule who made instant impact.

The duo has grabbed their chance with both hands and they are already proving to be very good signings for the Allianz Arena outfit.

Bayern have been close to impeccable this season, winning the German Super Cup, the opening DFB Pokal clash and two league matches, and they are now 1.45 (9/20) to extend the winning run.

Jerome Boateng and James Rodriguez have resumed training, but they will slowly be introduced back to the side, while David Alaba has joined Juan Bernat in the infirmary.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Neuer – Kimmich, Sule, Hummels, Rafinha – Tolisso, Rudy – Robben, Muller, Ribery – Lewandowski.
