Fiorentina vs Napoli

Fiorentina will be aiming to continue the good home run when they host Napoli, the team that are still struggling to meet the expectations of their fans.

Fiorentina have been showing glimpses of quality under both Sinisa Mihajlovic and Delio Rossi, but the Artemio Franchi outfit were unable to find any consistency.

It appears that Viola are finally starting to show some improvement as goalless draw away to Cagliari was followed by home wins over arch rivals Siena and high-flying Udinese.

Back to back wins over two very good sides should serve as major confidence boost, so maybe odds of 2.45 (29/20) offered by William Hill on home win are worth a shot.

Boss Delio Rossi faces some selection problems as Andrea Lazzari is suspended, whereas Houcine Kharja and Per Kroldrup remain sidelined.

The most important thing is that Stevan Jovetic’s knee injury is not as serious as it was first feared and the Montenegrin hotshot is expected to start. Valon Behrami is doubtful with a knee problem.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Boruc – Gamberini, Natali, Nastasic – Cassani, Behrami, Montolivo, Olivera, Pasqual – Amauri, Jovetic.

The mere fact that Napoli go into this game from 7th place in the standings shows that things are not going as planned for the San Paolo outfit.

The Partenopei were expected to build on some scintillating displays from last season, but they just couldn’t hit the ground running.

The poor run of results saw Napoli slip to seventh place in the standings, and being eight points adrift of third-placed Lazio, the Azzurri look set to miss out on Champions League qualification.

Walter Mazzarri’s side returned to winning ways as they beat Chievo on Monday and they hope to record another victory before the Champions League clash with Chelsea.

In spite of the fact that the gaffer can choose from a fully fit squad with the exception of Eduardo Vargas, Napoli are 3.28 (57/25) with Betfair to claim maximum points.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-2-1): De Sanctis – Campagnaro, Cannavaro, Britos – Maggio, Inler, Dzemaili, Dossena – Hamsik, Lavezzi – Cavani.
