England celebrateEngland continue their 2014 World Cup preparations with a home friendly against Denmark, and having lost their previous two fixtures at Wembley, the Three Lions will not be lacking motivation on Wednesday evening.

The Nordic side arrived in London with a seriously rejuvenated squad, albeit with several Premier League stars in their ranks.

England boss Roy Hodgson will have some tough choices to make when he decides on a 23-man squad to represent the country in Brazil and chances are that squad will almost entirely consist of players called for the Denmark game.

Phil Jagielka is the only one expected to be added, seeing as how he misses the Wednesday’s clash through injury, while Adam Johnson, Tom Huddlestone and few others are also hope they will be included.

While ending the qualifying campaign in style, England have been far from impressive in international friendlies, losing their last two games to Chile and Germany respectively.

This time they will be facing much weaker opponents, meaning there may be value in odds of 1.67 (2/3) offered on home win.

Kyle Walker looks set to miss out through a hip problem, whereas Andros Townsend, Adam Lallana, Steven Caulker and John Ruddy all face fitness tests.

Roy Hodgson is widely tipped to field a very strong side, but chances are he will be making wholesale changes during the match.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Hart – Johnson, Cahill, Caulker, Baines – Gerrard, Carrick – Chamberlain, Rooney, Lallana – Sturridge.

Denmark missed out on the 2014 World Cup play-offs after finishing the campaign as the worst second-placed side, but Morten Olsen’s side have been showing a great deal of potential of late.

The experienced boss introduced some fresh blood during the World Cup qualifiers and it is the likes of Delaney, Kusk, Larsen, Sloth and Braithwaite that could have important role to play in an attempt to qualify for the Euro 2016.

Denmark won their only international friendly since the qualifying campaign ended, having beaten neighbours Norway 2-1 in Herning and they will want to continue the good run of results.

Morten Olsen’s charges are unbeaten in last five matches in all competitions, although the record is likely to be put to a serious test at Wembley.

Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen is unavailable due to a back problem, whilst Martin Braithwaite is out as well.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Andersen – Jacobsen, Kjaer, Agger, Ankersen – Zimling, Kvist, J. Poulsen – Krohn-Dehli, Bendtner, Kahlenberg.
