Both Eintracht and Werder are still situated in the danger zone, meaning that a victory in this match can lift one of the two sides to safety.

Eintracht are four points above the bottom three after beating St Pauli at home before brining one point from Wolfsburg and the hosts enter this match high on confidence.

Before the victory over St Pauli, Christoph Daum’s side failed to score a goal in five successive home matches and they are now 3.80 (14/5) not to score at Sportingbet.

The hosts should have Ioannis Amanatidis and Aleksandar Vasovski back after injuries, but Patrick Ochs misses out through suspension.

Werder Bremen have been pretty disappointing this season and they have yet to ensure survival, although the team are showing massive improvement of late.

Werder drew their last three home games but won at Freiburg and Nurnberg, and they are now 2.50 (3/2) to record the third away win in a row at Bet365.

Coach Thomas Schaaf faces certain selection problems, since Tim Borowski, Daniel Jensen, Claudio Pizarro and Per Mertesacker are all doubtful for Eintracht game.

On the other hand, Philipp Bargfrede has resumed full training following heel operation and he should be in contention. Naldo is training again following a knee ligament injury, but he is unlikely to feature again this season.
