Deportivo La Coruna vs Real Madrid preview

Deportivo La Coruna hope to stop high-flying Real Madrid from winning this game and thus improve their survival chances, although that is easier said than done.

Depor have raised their form lately, having beaten Villarreal before sharing spoils with Almeria thanks to injury-time goal by keeper Daniel Aranzubia and the hosts enter this match full of confidence.

Juan Carlos Valeron was dropped from the squad after suffering an adductor injury, but Andres Guardado returns following a spell on the sidelines.

Ze Castro and Juca didn’t make the squad for technical reasons, while Saul Fernandez, Manuel Pablo and Xisco are out injured.

Real Madrid shift their focus towards the La Liga campaign after sharing spoils with Lyon in the Champions League.

Los Merengues are still five points adrift of Barcelona and they are now 5.00 (4/1) at Paddy Power to win the La Liga title.

Jose Mourinho will be without Sami Khedira, who is set to miss next two weeks of action, while Gonzalo Higuain remains long-term casualty.

Karim Benzema could return to the starting line-up after scoring a goal at Gerland, with Emmanuel Adebayor dropping from the team.

William Hill has the best price on the market on away win as they pay 1.44 (4/9) on Real, with Deportivo 3.20 (11/5) not to lose at Paddy Power.
