Barcelona vs CelticIrish striker Anthony Stokes has been suspended for two weeks by his club Celtic after criticizing the squad selection on Twitter.

The 27-year-old was in the squad to face Inverness on Sunday, but he was eventually left out of the match day roster, which was clearly hard to take.

Stokes then took to Twitter to complain of the lack of playing time and was subsequently slapped with a two-week suspension.

“Buzzing to be brought all the way up to Inverness with the team to sit in the stands today. Lovely weather for it too,” Stokes wrote in his Twitter account.

“It’s all about playing and contributing not picking up a wage,” he added.

Despite playing a key role for the Bhoys since arriving from Sunderland, the Irish forward has struggled for first team opportunities this term, making just one SPL appearance.

But, with Celtic opening up a seven-point lead at the top of the standings, he will probably have to wait some more for his chance.
