The second part of the Bundesliga campaign starts with the clash between high-flying Borussia Moenchengladbach and leaders Bayern Munich, which should be a real treat for fans at Borussia Park.

Midway through the previous Bundesliga campaign, Borussia were tied to the bottom of the standings, and probably not even the most optimistic of fans could imagine that the team would be fighting for Champions League places just a year later.

Swiss coach Lucien Favre has done brilliantly to improve the team’s showings despite operating on a limited squad and he has got to be given credit for the fact that die Fohlen go into this game just four points adrift of their next opponents.

Having already beaten Bayern at Alianz Arena this season, the hosts will fancy their chances against their more illustrious opponents, meaning that odds of 5.50 (9/2) offered by Bodog on home win represent a real value for money.

Apart from defender Dante, who misses out through suspension, Lucien Favre can choose from a fully fit squad, unlike his Bayern counterpart.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Ter Stegen – Jantschke, Stranzl, Brouwers, Daems – Nordtveit, Neustadter – Herrmann, Reus, Arango – Hanke.

The opening defeat to Borussia M’gladbach acted as a real wake up call for Bayern as the Bavarians went on to win next ten games in all competitions without conceding a single goal in the process.

The team have since suffered a small dip in form, with Bundesliga defeats to Borussia Dortmund and Mainz threatening to hurt their title bid, but Jypp Heynckes’ side managed to end the first part of the league campaign three points clear of their title rivals.

The Bavarians are now hoping to extend their winning run in Bundesliga to four games, and they are 1.67 (2/3) with Stan James to claim maximum points.

Boss Jupp Heynckes is without Franck Ribery, who was sent off in the last league game, with Toni Kroos set to move to the left hand side.

Bastian Schweinsteiger should start after recovering from injury, but Breno and Diego Contento are unavailable.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Neuer – Boateng, Van Buyten, Badstuber, Lahm – Tymoshchuk, Schweinsteiger – Robben, Muller, Kroos – Gomez.
