Borussia Dortmund vs StuttgartA victory over Stuttgart would see Borussia Dortmund spend the night as Bundesliga leaders and put extra pressure on rivals Bayern Munich.

However, beating the Swabians on Friday night will be no easy task given that Thomas Schneider’s men are unbeaten in last seven league fixtures.

After their impressive Champions League campaign denied them a chance to mount a serious title challenge in the league last season, Borussia have done much better this term.

And while they remain in a very good position to progress from the group of death following the 2-1 win at the Emirates, the Millionaires are also going strong in domestic competitions.

Borussia won the German Super Cup by hammering Bayern 4-2 before climbing to second in Bundesliga by winning 8 of first 10 league fixtures.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently on a three-match winning run and have a chance to climb to the top of the standings, with the Millionaires 1.29 (2/7) to continue the rich vein of form against Stuttgart.

The hosts are brimming with confidence after the 3-1 derby win over Schalke, and they are 1.75 (3/4) to win the game by two goals or more<?a>.

Captain Sebastian Kehl has resumed full training following a six-week lay-off, but he is unlikely to start, whereas Ilkay Gundogan and Lukasz Piszczek are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller – Grosskreutz, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer – Bender, Sahin – Blaszczykowski, Mkhitaryan, Reus – Lewandowski.

The five-time Bundesliga champions have been on a constant downtrend ever since they won the last of their trophies in 2007, and this term coach Bruno Labbadia paid the price for the dismal start to the season.

And while the managerial change was always going to have a positive effect on the squad, nobody could predict the team would be doing so well under new boss Thomas Schneider.

The Swabians were eliminated from Europa League and DFB Pokal, but that soon proved to be a blessing in disguise as their Bundesliga performances improved a great deal.

A seven-match unbeaten run saw Stuttgart climb to eighth in the league standings, but it is clear the impressive streak will be put to a serious test at Signal-Iduna Park.

However, having scored at least a goal in last 11 matches in all competitions, the Swabians are 1.70 (7/10) to extend the excellent run.

Important defender Daniel Schwaab should return from an ankle problem, while Gotoku Sakai is also set to return into action.

Antonio Rudiger misses out through suspension, whereas Cacau is out injured. Moritz Leitner has been cleared to face his parent club.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Ulreich – Sakai, Schwaab, Niedermeier, Boka – Kvist, Gentner – Harnik, Maxim, Traore – Ibisevic.
