Angola boss Lito Vidigal has announced a 23-man squad for the 2012 African Cup of Nations that will be held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Lito Vidigal opted for a pretty experienced squad, with three of his players set to feature in their fourth successive AFCON tournament.

Those players include defender Kali, as well as strikers Flavio and Love Cabungula. Porto attacker Djalma is the number one player on the team sheet, whereas former Manchester United striker Manucho is also included.

The gaffer also decided to call former Germany Under-21 international Nando Rafael, who has yet to receive a clearance to play for the Palancas Negras.

Angola are in the same group as Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Sudan, and everything suggests that their first game against Burkina Faso will determine the outcome of their campaign.

The Palancas Negras are 3.25 (9/4) with Stan James to win that game, whereas they are 62.00 (61/1) with Betfair to produce an upset and win the tournament.

Angola squad:

Goalkeepers: Carlos (unattached), Hugo (Kabuscorp), Wilson (Primeiro Agosto)

Defenders: Amaro (Primeiro Agosto), Dani Massunguna (Primeiro Agosto), Kali (Primeiro Agosto), Marco Airosa (AEL Limassol, Cyprus), Mingo Bille (Primeiro Agosto), Zuela (Atromitos, Greece)

Midfielders: Andre Makanga (Al Jahra, Kuwait), Dede (AEL Limassol, Cyprus), Gilberto (Lierse, Belgium), Mabina, Miguel (both Petro Atletico), Osorio (Recreativo Caala), Xara (Petro Atletico)

Forwards: Djalma (FC Porto, Portugal), Flavio (Lierse, Belgium), Jose Pierre Vunguidica (Preussen Munster, Germany), Love (Petro Atletico), Manucho (Real Valladolid, Spain), Mateus Galiano (Nacional, Portugal), Nando Rafael (FC Augsburg, Germany)
