Experienced coach Rainer Adrion has finalized his 23-man squad for the 2013 Under-21 European Championship in Israel.

Bundesliga hotshots Jan Kirchhoff, Tolgay Arslan and Sebastian Jung have all been forced to withdraw due to injury after being named in the provisional squad.

New names on the list are Emre Can, Sead Kolasinac and Matthias Ginter, none of whom featured in the qualifying campaign.

“We want to win, match by match, at the EURO,” said coach Rainer Adrion. “I am confident I have picked the right squad.

“We have a great mix of experienced U21 players as well as emerging talents, Bundesliga regulars and youngsters with exciting potential.”

Germany are no less than 5.00 (4/1) with Ladbrokes to lift the coveted title, but that will be no easy task after they were placed in the same group as Spain, Netherlands and Russia.

The Germans were pretty convincing throughout the qualifying campaign and they will be heavily relying on Bernd Leno, Lewis Holtby, Patrick Hermann and Sebastian Rode.
