Stromsgodset IFNorwegian Eliteserien runners up Stromsgodset take on Hungarian side Debrecen in their second ever Europa League campaign.

Established in 1907, SIF are one of the oldest clubs in Norway, but their only league title up to date was won in 1970.

The club, however, have five Norwegian Cups in their trophy cabinet, while the good news is they have been showing a great deal of improvement of late.

Second-place finish last season allowed them to embark on their second Europa League campaign, with Hungarian giants Debrecen the first hurdle.

Despite losing their last two league games, SIF go into the match in good spirits, and having won last six matches at home, they are 1.60 (3/5) favourites with Sportingbet to make it seven on the bounce.

The squad haven’t undergone too many changes since that second-place finish in Eliteserien, and it is important to note they currently sit just two points behind leaders Rosenborg.

With the likes of Mohammed Keita and Simen Brenne resuming full training, boss Ronny Deila will have fully fit squad to choose from.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Kwarasey – Storbaek, Madsen, Horn, Hamoud – Adjei-Boateng, Johansen, Ibrahim – Storflor, Kovacs, Keita.

Debrecen VSC may have been around for more than 110 years, but the club have only peaked over the last ten years or so.

Loki won their first ever league title in 2005, but then went on to add five more with the last league trophy being won in 2012.

Debrecen had to settle for a sixth-place finish last term, but they still managed to achieve European qualification having won the Hungarian Cup.

The team have since stayed without 18-goal striker Adamo Coulibaly and Jozef Varga, but in came Cristian Bud, Dusan Brkovic, Aleksandar Trninic, Pal Lazar, Laszlo Zsidai and Igor Morozov.

Debrecen were pretty disappointing in their first competitive match of the season having lost the Super Cup match 3-0 to Gyori ETO, but at least there is plenty of room for improvement.

The visitors have absolutely no injury worries at the moment and are 5.80 (24/5) with Stan James to produce a surprise in Norway.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Verpecz – Nagy, Morozov, Brkovic, Korhut – Damahou, Zsidai – Bodi, Szakaly, Selim Bouadla – Sidibe.
