Saturday’s Premier League action kicks off at Upton Park where West Ham United face champions Manchester City.

The Hammers are sitting in fourth place after a fine run of form which has seen them lose just one of their last five matches, and they go in to this game having beaten Burnley last time out.

They could welcome both Cheikhou Kouyate and James Tomkins back from injury, though Andy Carroll is not ready to return to first team action despite returning to training this week following an ankle injury.

Diafra Sakho, who last weekend became only the second West Ham player to score in five consecutive Premier League games, is certainly worth considering at 11.0 (10/1) to get the first goal of the game with Bet 365, with Enner Valencia available at 10.0 (9/1) with the same firm.

The home win is widely available at 6.5 (11/2), with the visitors odds on favourites at 1.57 (4/7) with Coral while the draw can be backed at 4.60 (18/5) with 888 Sport.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men, who are currently in second place, five points behind Chelsea followed last weekend’s impressive 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur with a 2-2 draw with Russian champions CSKA Moscow in midweek.

Frank Lampard is doubtful after injuring his thigh last weekend, while Samir Nasri is unavailable having recently had an operation on his groin.

Sergio Aguero, who scored all four for City last time out in the league, is unsurprisingly favourite to open the scoring here at 4.33 (10/3) with Bet 365, with Yaya Toure an 8.0 (7/1) chance with Ladbrokes.

The two sides met four times last season, with City winning on each occasion and scoring fourteen goals in the process while West Ham’s last triumph in this clash was back in March 2009, when a Jack Collison goal was enough to separate the sides in East London.

With this in mind, you may be tempted to take advantage of William Hill’s offer of 2.7 (17/10) for the champions to score at least three times this time around, while the same firm have odds of 2.5 (6/4) for the game to see at least four goals in total.
