Arsene Wenger didn’t hide his disappointment following the 4:3 defeat to Blackburn at Ewood Park.

Arsenal had a one-goal lead at half-time, but conceded three cheap goals in the second half, two of which were own goals.

The Gunners now boast the worst defensive record in the Premiership, having conceded 14 goals in 5 games.

“That is terrible. There’s nothing more to say than that. It’s just not good enough and of course we are very frustrated.

“If you look at the number of goals we have conceded that is not good enough – you cannot come here and concede four goals the way we did.”

Despite the defeat, Wenger believes there were some positives to take from the game as well.

“It was not all negative — that’s the frustrating thing. There were a lot of positives as well but we didn’t bring out the focus to get out of the game.

Following their third defeat in five games, Arsenal sit well behind the leading pack, but maybe this is the right time to back the Gunners to achieve a top 4 finish, with Betfair paying 3.40 (12/5) on this market.
