The weekend’s Premier League action concludes at White Hart Lane as top four hopefuls Tottenham Hotspur take on a Cardiff City side who began the weekend just a point off the bottom of the table.

Tim Sherwood’s men go in to the game having secured their place in the last sixteen of the Europa League after coming from behind to beat Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 3-2 on aggregate while they lost 1-0 at Norwich City last time out in the league to fall six points behind fourth place Liverpool.

Brazil international Sandro could make his league first appearance under Sherwood after returning from two months out with a calf injury in midweek.

Kyle Walker has recovered from a hip problem, though Erik Lamela and Vlad Chiriches remain side-lined.

Emmanuel Adebayor is favourite to continue his goal-scoring form with the opener here at 4.5 (7/2) with Bet Victor, with Roberto Soldado a 5.25 (17/4) shot with the same firm.

Spurs are favourites for the victory at 1.36 (4/11) with a variety of bookmakers, with Cardiff as highly priced as the 12.0 (11/1) on offer from Bet 365, while the same firm offer 5.25 (17/4) for the draw.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s men have taken just five points from the last thirty-three available in the league – a run which culminated in them being thumped 4-0 at home to Hull City a week ago.

They won’t be able to climb out of the relegation zone with a win here, but can move level on points with seventeenth place West Bromwich Albion who don’t play this weekend.

Jordan Mutch has recovered from a hamstring problem, while Craig Bellamy is available after selection though Gary Medel is not likely to be risked despite returning to training following a muscle tear.

Former Spurs forward Frazier Campbell is 14.0 (13/1) to get the first goal of the game with Bet Victor, ahead of Bellamy, who is a 23.0 (22/1) chance with the same firm.

A last minute winner from Paulinho secured all three points for the North London side at the Cardiff City stadium back in September, and the same score-line this time around can be backed at 7.5 (13/2) with Ladbrokes.
