Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has suggested that the team have ‘something missing’ as they chase down their maiden Premier League title.

The North-Londoners have experienced massive improvement since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino, twice finishing third and once second in the table in the last four years.

However, Lloris has admitted that the team are lacking a fundamental feature should they wish to chase down top two Manchester City and Liverpool.

Talking to Sky Sports, he said: “Liverpool and Man City have the experience and they are really competitive.

“I think, at the moment, there’s something missing from us. We will see later in the season because things turn very quickly in football.

“The most important thing is we focus on ourselves, to get points, to get consistency in the league. And we will see where we are in the table in April, in March.

“That is the moment when you can win or lose European places or trophies. At the moment, we don’t want to lose focus with that type of question.”

Tottenham have had a tricky start to the season having only won one out of their opening four matches against newly-promoted Aston Villa. As a result, they sit ninth at this early stage.

That is reflected in their odds of actually winning the Premier League title season at a huge price of 50/1 with Paddy Power.
