The Premier League returns this weekend, with Saturday’s action kicking off with table toppers Manchester United’s trip to struggling Sunderland.

The Mackems are bottom of the divisions form table, having gone seven games without a win, gaining just three points since victory at Wigan Athletic in January..

Their poor run of form has seen them slip to fifteenth place, just four points above the relegation zone with eight games left to play.

Top scorer Steven Fletcher and captain Lee Catermole were both ruled out for the season earlier in the week with ankle ligament and knee damage respectively, while Carlos Cuellar will also miss out through injury, though Stephane Sessegnon could return following a groin problem.

With Flectcher out, the goal scoring onus will be on Danny Graham, who is yet to hit the net since signing from Swansea City two months ago.

Graham is 11.5 (21/2) with Bet Victor to score first, whilst Craig Gardner, who has hit four penalties in his last eight league appearances in 21.0 (20/1) with Paddy Power.

Sunderland are as highly priced as 6.0 (5/1) to win the game, with United available at 1.67 (4/6). The draw is 3.9 (29/10) with Bet 365.

Manchester United will open up an eighteen point lead at the top of the division if they record a seventh straight league victory.

Sir Alex Ferguson will check on the fitness of Paul Scholes and Nani ahead of the game, with the Scot set to name his side with one eye on the FA Cup Quarter Final replay with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge kicking off less than 48 hours after the game.

Javier Hernandez may be handed a rare league start, so could be worth considering in the first goal scorer market at 5.5 (9/2), with Ashley Young a 12.0 (11/1) shot with Bet Victor.

Alternatively, as Sir Alex Ferguson’s men have won seven of their last ten league games to nil, you may fancy backing them to do so once more at 2.75 (7/4) with Betfred, while the same firm offer 2.2 (6/5) for the league leaders to extend their run of 537 minutes in the league without conceding by keeping another clean sheet.
