Sunday afternoon’s game at Stamford Bridge sees Chelsea host Sunderland, with new manager Paolo Di Canio’s taking charge for the first time.

The hosts go the game with Gary Cahill, Oriol Romeu and Ashley Cole all side-lined through injury, though Demba Ba is available having been ineligible for Thursday’s win over Rubin Kazan.

However, Rafael Benitez may stick with Fernando Torres, whose brace sent the Blues on their way to victory in the Europa League Quarter Final first leg.

The Spanish international is 5.5 (9/2) with Coral to open the scoring, with Frank Lampard a 7.0 (6/1) shot with 888 Sport.

The home win is best priced at 1.36 (4/11) with Ladbrokes, with Sunderland as highly priced as the 11.0 (10/1) on offer from Bet Victor and the draw 5.5 (9/2) with the same firm.

The visitors defeat at Champions elect Manchester United a week ago extended their winless run to eight games, and saw them drop to within a point of the bottom three.

Paolo Di Canio is without several key players for his Premier League managerial debut, with David Vaughn and Carlos Cuellar likely to miss out, along with long term absentees Steven Fletcher and Lee Cattermole.

Danny Graham, who is yet to open his account for the Black Cats since signing from Swansea City in January is 15.0 (14/1) with Bet 365 to get the first goal of the game, with Adam Johnson generously priced at 26.0 (25/1) with the same firm.

Chelsea have come out on top in this contest in fifteen of the last sixteen meetings, including a 3-1 victory at the Stadium of Light in this seasons reverse fixture back in December.

Fernando Torres was the hero that day, scoring twice in the first half, with his Spanish counterpart Juan Mata made sure of the victory shortly after the break before Adam Johnson’s consolation.

Coral have a price of 7.0 (6/1) for Torres to bag a second brace in three days, while you may also be tempted by the 6/4 (2/5) on offer from Stan James for Chelsea to do as they have in half of those last sixteen games against Sunderland and score at least three times.
