It’s second from bottom versus second place at the Stadium of Light tomorrow evening as Gus Poyet’s struggling Sunderland side host the Uruguayan’s former club Chelsea.

The Black Cats’ goalless draw at Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon was enough to lift them off the bottom of the Premier League, though they remain five points from safety with thirteen games played.

Captain John O’Shea is likely to be included despite suffering a muscle injury last time out, though Kieren Westwood (shoulder) and Carlos Cullar (hip) remain side-lined.

888 Sport have Steven Fletcher at 9.5 (17/2) to open the scoring, with Fabio Borini a 15.0 (14/1) shot with the same firm.

The home win is available at 6.5 (11/2) with most firms, with Chelsea odds on favourites, widely available at 1.57 (4/7). The draw is a 4.5 (7/2) shot with Bet 365.

The visitors moved up to second place at the weekend after beating Southampton 3-1, and will be keen to keep the pressure on leaders Arsenal, who face Hull City at the Emirates.

Brazilian pair David Luiz and Oscar miss out with respective knee and ankle injuries though Samuel Eto’o could feature after returning to training following a hamstring problem.

The Cameroon international is favourite to get the first goal of the game at a price of 5.5 (9/2) with Paddy Power, with Fernando Torres a 6.0 (5/1) shot with a number of bookmakers.

The Blues 2-1 win over Sunderland at Stamford Bridge back in April was their sixteenth win in the last seventeen meetings between the sides, and all signs point to another victory for the London side this time around.

However, they have kept a clean sheet just once in their last eight wins in this fixture, so you may be tempted to back an away win with both teams to score at a price of 3.6 (13/5) with Coral.

Alternatively, you may want to take advantage of the generous price of 15.0 (14/1) on offer from Bet 365 for Chelsea to run out 3-1 winners, as they did in last season’s corresponding fixture twelve months ago.
