The Premier League season concludes this weekend, and there will be few more nervous than the home fans at St James’ Park, where Newcastle United face West Ham United.

The hosts are quite simply in dreadful form, having taken just one point from their last ten games, and they need victory here to guarantee survival.

Anything other than a win will leave the door open for Hull City, who would be able leapfrog them if they beat Manchester United at home.

Adam Armstrong and Siem de Jong face late fitness tests ahead of the game, while Cheick Tiote, Rob Elliot, Jak Alnwick, Massadio Haidara and Steven Taylor are all long term absentees.

Top scorer Papiss Cisse is 6.25 (21/4) to open the scoring with Stan James, with Ayoze Perez an 8.0 (7/1) shot with Coral.

The home win is widely available at 1.8 (4/5), with the visitors as highly priced as the 4.8 (19/5) on offer from Bet Victor, who have the draw at 4.1 (31/10).

Sam Allardyce’s side have won just one of their last seven matches, and go in to the game on the back of last weekend’s home defeat to Everton.

That result saw the Toffee’s leapfrog the Hammers into tenth place, and with both sides having an almost identical record, whoever gets the best result this weekend will finish in the top half of the table.

Top scorer Diafra Sakho is sidelined with James Collins and Guy Demel also out, though fellow defender James Tomkins may be fit in time to feature.

Enner Valencia is priced at 9.5 (17/2) to get the first goal of the game with 888 Sport, with Carlton Cole an 11.0 (10/1) chance with Stan James.

West Ham ran out winners when the sides met at Upton Park back in November, while last season’s corresponding fixture ended goalless.

In fact, four of the last five meetings between the sides have seen less than two goals scored so you may be tempted to back there being under 1.5 this time around at a generous price of 4.8 (19/5) with Bet Victor.
