Liverpool will have another chance to get back to winning ways after sharing spoils with Blackburn, whereas Newcastle hope to continue with good results after beating Bolton at Reebok Stadium.

Kenny Dalglish’s side have been showing a lot of promise this term, but their inconsistent showings as well as numerous slip-ups at Anfield are likely to cost them the opportunity to fight for the top 4 finish.

Liverpool have been playing really well on the travels, winning no less than five away games, but their shocking displays at Anfield are the main reason why the Reds aren’t fighting for the title.

After failing to beat sides like Norwich, Swansea and Blackburn at home, backing the Reds to beat Newcastle at odds of 1.57 (4/7) offered by bet365 wouldn’t be the right thing to do.

The hosts will be without star striker Luis Suarez, who serves a one-match ban for the improper conduct after the Fulham game, with his eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra pending the outcome of an appeal.

Steven Gerrard returned into action against Blackburn, following the two-month spell on the sidelines, and he could play a part in this match as well, with Andy Carroll expected to start against his former club.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Reina – Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique – Kuyt, Gerrard, Adam, Downing – Carroll, Bellamy.

Newcastle United have got to be considered the surprise package of the season, having picked up no less than 30 points from 18 Premier League games.

The team have suffered a small dip in from following the amazing start to the season, but they managed to end the six-match winless run by beating Bolton at Reebok last Monday.

The Magpies are certainly hoping their star striker Demba Ba can continue the impressive scoring run that saw him bag 14 goals in 17 league games, with the Senegalese 3.75 (11/4) with William Hill to score at Anfield.

The striker has been declared fit to play after suffering a knee scare, whereas Davide Santon and Dan Gosling return from injury and suspension respectively.

Hatem Ben Arfa is pushing for a starting place after scoring at Reebok, but Danny Guthrie, Peter Lovenkrands and Steven Taylor remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Krul – Simpson, Coloccini, Williamson, R. Taylor – Obertan, Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez – Ba, Ben Arfa.
