The latest round of Premier League games conclude at Craven Cottage on Monday evening as Fulham host Newcastle United.

The home side have fallen to 13th place having gone seven games without a victory in the league, and only the bottom five teams in the division have a worse record in front of their home fans.

They go in to this game on the back of a 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur nine days ago, meaning Martin Jol’s side have also failed to score in almost five hours of Premier League football.

They welcome back defender Brede Hangeland from suspension, while Alexander Kacaniklic is also available after missing the last three games through injury though Bryan Ruiz is out until the New Year after aggravating a hamstring injury.

Top scorer Dimitar Berbatov, who hasn’t hit the net since his brace against Arsenal a month ago, is favourite to open the scoring with 6.0 (5/1) the best price on offer.

The home win is available at 2.07 (15/14) with 118 Bet, with the away win best priced with Bet Victor at 3.90 (29/10). The draw is 3.5 (5/2) with most firms.

Newcastle are also struggling in the league, with last Monday’s win over Wigan Athletic their first in six games.
They currently sit in 14th position, below Fulham only on goal difference, though both sides are just four points above the relegation zone.

Alan Pardew could be boosted by the return of Hatem Ben Arfa, while there are doubts over Davide Santon, Cheick Tiote and top scorer Demba Ba though all are expected to play some part.

Papiss Cisse is expected to lead the line for the visitors, and can be backed at 8.5 (15/2) to get the first goal of the game, whilst Ben Arfa is widely available at a generous 12.0 (11/1).

Last season’s corresponding fixture produced seven goals, with Fulham running out 5-2 winners in January, though interestingly of the five goal scorers that day only Hatem Ben Arfa remains at either club with Clint Dempsey, Danny Murphy, Bobby Zamora and Danny Guthrie having moved on to pastures new.
