Two in-form sides will meet at Craven Cottage in the final game of round 36 and while Fulham will be looking to remain in the top half of the table, Liverpool will have a chance to climb to fifth place in the standings.

Mark Hughes’ side had some problems at the start of the season, but they have shown a massive improvement since, with the latest good run of results guiding them to the top part of the Premiership table.

Back to back 3:0 victories over Bolton and Sunderland served as a major boost to the players’ confidence, and the Cottagers are now hoping to continue the impressive run.

Having kept a clean sheet in six of last seven home games in the Premiership, Fulham are now 3.40 (12/5) with Paddy Power not to concede against Liverpool.

Damien Duff has been ruled out for the season after undergoing Achilles surgery, but Clint Dempsey and Brede Hangeland should return to contention. Zoltan Gera and Rafik Halliche remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Schwarzer – Salcido, Hangeland, Hughes, Baird – Davies, Murphy, Etuhu, Kakuta – Zamora, Dempsey.

Liverpool, too, experienced major problems in the first part of the season, but the arrival of Kop legend Kenny Dalglish completely revitalized the Reds’ squad.

Raising their form from one game to the next, the Reds quickly started climbing the Premiership standings and following the impressive run of results in recent weeks they now have a great chance to clinch the fifth place.

Liverpool are now just one point adrift of Tottenham, the team they will play host to next weekend, meaning that three victories will guarantee the Reds fifth place in the standings.

Following the impressive wins over Birmingham and Newcastle, the Reds are clearly a favourites to win this match and they are 2.50 (3/2) with William Hill to claim maximum points at Craven Cottage.

Andy Carroll could return to the starting line-up after recovering from a knee injury, but Daniel Agger, Steven Gerrard and Martin Kelly are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Reina – Flanagan, Carragher, Skrtel, Johnson – Rodriguez, Meireles, Lucas, Kuyt – Suarez, Carroll.

Liverpool fans are so overconfident, and its so disappointing.Beautiful football playing is done only by Man Utd. Back on top to win the race.Feel pity for you guys. You guys have no respect for the opponent. You are living on revenge, Man utd fans are cool and believe that their team can win the title because of their playing strategy. Can you believe it a reserved player has scored against Aston Villa? First match, first goal. Bzw some people dont know much about football and keep gossiping based on THEIR partial facts’/small knowledge.RESPECT YOUR OPPONENT YOU PATHETIC GUYS.
