Saturday’s game at the Emirates sees league leaders Arsenal host a Southampton side two places and three points below them in the division.

The hosts go in to the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to champions Manchester United, though they remain two points clear at the top of the table.

Theo Walcott could make a surprise return to the first team after missing the past two months with an abdominal injury, while top scorer Aaron Ramsey is also available after withdrawing from international duty with a hamstring complaint.

Yaya Sanogo, Lukas Podolski, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby are still side-lined, though Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky could feature.

Olivier Giroud is favourite to open the scoring at 5.75 (19/4) with Bet Victor, with Ramsey an 8.5 (15/2) shot with the same firm.

The Gunners are odds on to take all three points, with a number of bookmakers offering a price of 1.62 (8/13), while Southampton are widely available at 6.0 (5/1). Bet Victor offer 4.1 (31/10) for the draw.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are unbeaten in their last eight league games, and beat Hull City 4-1 last time out to rise to third place.

Jack Cork and Guy Do Prado remain their only absentee’s as the South Coast club look to get a result that could, depending on the result of the Merseyside derby, fire them to the league’s summit.

Rickie Lambert is 9.0 (8/1) to get the first goal of the game, ahead of Adam Lallana, who is a 15.0 (14/1) chance with Bet Victor.

The two sides have conceded just fifteen goals between them in the league so far this season, with the visitors shipping only five themselves, and keeping six clean sheets. With this in mind, you may fancy backing a low scoring affair.

Most firms offer 4.0 (3/1) for there to be less than two goals in the game, while a tempting price of 13.0 (12/1) is available for a 0-0 scoreline.

Coral give the best odds for either named side to keep a clean sheet, with Arsenal a 2.35 (27/20) shot ahead of Southampton, who are priced at 6.5 (11/2).
