Arsenal host a resurgent Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon looking for the three points that will see them reclaim top spot in the Premier League.

The Gunners were replaced at the summit in midweek after dropping two points against Southampton while City thumped Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

The new Premier League leaders face third place Chelsea on Monday evening, giving Arsene Wenger’s men the chance to, if only temporarily, return to first place with three points here.

The home side are, as has often been the case this season, without a number of first team players with their midfield in particular somewhat depleted.

Mathieu Flamini is suspended while new loan signing Kim Kallstrom, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Abou Diaby and Theo Walcott are all injured though Tomas Rosicky is in line for a return after missing the last two games with a broken nose.

Top scorer Olivier Giroud is favourite to open the scoring at 4.0 (3/1) with a variety of firms, with Santi Cazorla, who has three goals in his last two league games, an 8.5 (15/2) shot with Bet Victor.

Arsenal are odds on for the win, at a best price of 1.25 (1/4) with Bet Victor, who price Palace at a massive 17.0 (16/1), and the draw at an equally generous 7.0 (6/1).

Having looked almost certainties for relegation three months ago with just three points from their opening ten league games the Eagles form, since the appointment of Tony Pulis, has given them a great chance of avoiding relegation from the top-flight for the first time since the inception of the Premier League.

They go into the game on the back of two straight 1-0 home victories, taking their points tally to twenty-three and lifting them clear of the division’s bottom three.

Wayne Hennessey is set to go straight into the match-day squad after arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers on transfer deadline day.

Jonathan Parr is doubtful with concussion, while Jerome Thomas and Kagisho Dikgacoi are definitely out injured.
Foremer Gunner Marouane Chamakh is 17.0 (16/1) to get the first goal of the game with Bet Victor, with Jason Puncheon a 26.0 (25/1) chance with the same firm.

Palace have conceded just four goals in their last six league games, while Arsenal have failed to score more than two in all but three of their last fifteen top-flight matches.

With this in mind, you may be tempted to back a repeat of the 2-0 scoreline recorded by Arsene Wenger’s men when these sides met at Selhurst Park in October at a price of 6.5 (11/2) with Bet Victor.
